We’re going gold to support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month—because kids can’t fight cancer alone.

Fri, Sep 4 Once again, Amazon will go gold for the month of September by turning 20 million boxes gold for our annual #AmazonGoesGold campaign to raise awareness for childhood cancer. Over 11,000 children in the U.S.—and 300,000 globally—will be diagnosed with pediatric cancer this year. We have the opportunity to make a difference for thousands of children and families impacted by cancer by raising greater awareness and supporting the important work being done in cancer research and front-line care. This September, we’re doubling down on our focus toward innovative research by donating $4 million to eight leading cancer research institutions across the U.S. Additionally, Amazonians around the world will be getting involved in the following ways, and we invite you to join in on the fun - because kids can’t fight cancer alone®. PJammin’®:  PJammin’® a 48-hour pajama party, where Amazonians wear pajamas or gold to work in solidarity with the kids who spend their days in pajamas throughout treatment. This year’s PJammin’® event will take place September 15-16. Be sure to post photos in your PJs and follow along on social media using @AmazonVestLife, #AmazonGoesGold, and #PJammin to see how other Amazonians are participating.  Exchanging Smiles Card Exchange: In lieu of the more traditional on-site events, and being mindful of social distancing, this year we’re encouraging Amazonians to make and exchange cards with the kids at your local children’s hospital throughout September. Participating Ops sites will have pre-designed postcards to color, customize, and send to their local children’s hospital.  U.S. employees - St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Virtual 5k Walk & Run: Last year, more than 3,000 Amazonians participated in St. Jude’s 5k Walk & Run events across the U.S. This year’s events will be held virtually on Saturday, September 26, with fun ways for participants to engage and support.
